THE TENTH GENERATION

1725.

When Magistrate Maldor Vonk seeks to crush the rising Enlightenment, he uses the lie of witchcraft to grip a peaceful village in fear. Yet when he subjects the healer Elowen to a brutal water trial, he invokes a force beyond his control. Surviving the freezing river, Elowen issues a blood ultimatum to the Vonk dynasty: ten generations are given to cleanse their hearts. After that, the bloodline demands retribution.

2026.

Three hundred years later, Pota Vonk suspends democracy. Armed with mass surveillance, state propaganda, and a covert offshore facility, he reigns supreme. Investigative journalist Nora has no time for ancient folklore—until she uncovers a secret eighteenth-century journal and realises the ten-generation clock expires this month.
As Pota institutes modern water-torture methods, Nora’s dormant lineage awakens. The water remembers everything. And the verdict of 1725 is about to be delivered.
